chef creates a plethora of gastronomic delights. The restaurant's superior wine
cellar stocks more than 300 of the world's best labels and the most celebrated
champagnes. Elegantly located in a magnificent Lanna style building, set on a
platform overlooking the resort's paddy fields and tall coconut and palm trees,
Farang Ses takes its name from the Thai word which literally means "French".
The restaurant's vaulted wooden interior is resplendent with sculpted chandeliers
and enormous teak pillars clad in sheets of beaten copper relief, which, when
lit from behind, creates a most dramatic effect. The tableware and unique steel-stemmed
glassware with art deco detailing have been chosen with great care to complement
the gracious elegance of this establishment of French haute cuisine.The restaurant

aromas of the French countryside but remain light enough for the Thai mountain

Serving authentic Cantonese cuisine and tantalizing contemporary
Chinese dishes in an elegant two-storey Sino-Portuguese style mansion. Tucked
away in a picturesque corner of Kad Dhara's pretty shop-houses, the restaurant
is divided into two sections - a spacious veranda overlooking the traditional
Lanna style boutique market and an indoor air-conditioned dining area. Its interior,
adorned with a vivid contrast of red, black and gold furniture, is graced with
priceless objects d'art antiques. The restaurant serves a sumptuous traditional
dim sum lunch in classic style with customary bamboo steamers on large, circular
tables. The evening menu lists a variety of Chinese regional cooking styles from
classic Cantonese to contemporary dishes, including the more spicy cuisine from
Sichuan province. In keeping with the Chinese 'family style' meal, portions are
served individually on the finest bone china. Fujian takes its name from the prosperous
Chinese province on China's eastern seaboard, which is famous for its black tea.
Reminiscent of the traditional tea drinking of the local Chinese community, diners
are invited to enjoy a 'tea tasting' during their meal, comprised of some of the
best teas from Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi's extensive tea collection.

Like most noble Lanna homes, these elegant structures look down upon a mature
tropical garden bursting with crested hibiscus, tree orchids and pungent jasmine.

fans or enclosed air-conditioned salons, all linked by broad teak walkways. Private
rooms, decorated with art and antiques from around the region, are available for
groups of 10 to 30 people.

Bar is opened for you to enjoy a glass of the finest Champagne in this most romantic
of settings.

Kham Bar Adjoining the resort's free-form Loy Kham Pool, the bar serves
signature cocktails, juices and light snacks. Located next to our lovely Loy Kham
Pool, the Loy Kham Bar is a perfect place to relax and enjoy a delicious light
snack while sipping on one of our signature cocktails. The Loy Kham Bar is a few
steps away from the Health and Fitness Centre, set al fresco for you
to enjoy the stunning panoramic view of the resort and the beautifully landscaped
Loy Kham Pool. The all-day dining bar serves, light snacks, juices and cocktails.

in the traditional northern style boutique market, Kad Dhara, the Oriental Shop
offers pastries, ice cream and the finest tea and coffee. For anyone who enjoys
quality confectionary a treat not to be missed. An opportunity to taste delicious
classic pastries and bakery items that rival anywhere in Europe! The shop offers
a variety of delectable pastries, cakes and chocolates
along with a selection of freshly baked breads, croissant, cookies and muffins
and hot and cold beverages. It also has a variety of tempting homemade ice cream
in a myriad of luscious flavors. Classic chocolate or coffee-flavored pastries
such as Opera and Tiramisu are complemented by pale pink and green macaroons that
will melt in your mouth. Crunchy chocolate mousse cakes such as the Tendresse
will excite anyone with a sweet tooth, while the Belle Jardiniere is one of many,
tasty fruit-filled pastries, filled with glossy, red strawberries.

heavenly realm. Dhevas led a blissful existence, blessed with the benefit of a
powerful karmic rebirth. The Dheva Spa at Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi is a destination
spa in itself with 3,100 square metres dedicated to relaxation and well being.
Modeled on the Burmese royal palace that stood near
Mandalay in Myanmar, the spa lobby is located at its centre with an impressive
seven-tier roof symbolizing the seven steps to heaven, or nirvana.Situated in
a cluster of teak buildings, next to the resort's Villa Lobby it comprises 19
treatment rooms and suites. All treatment suites have been created to ensure a
truly indulgent experience that can be enjoyed alone or together. Each suite has
a private Jacuzzi, steam shower, heated marble scrub marble and private treatment
